That's awesome. One other reason to use your beat writer too. Get your version out there.

BigRedLedbetter wrote:Hopefully the Lions improve their O Line. Something that resembles a running game would be nice. Despite their good D this year I'd love to add some help on D. They will need to if they lose Suh.
The system change in addition to injuries didn't do the O-line any favors but i do agree they should be looking at adding maybe a second rounder and a FA. Suh will be gone. He is not going to have the issue Avril did and some team is going to pay out of the ass to get him. Then again, I thought Calvin would leave to so...

Amazing player. Pretty awful human being. Have fun explaining this to your children you owe back child support to.

I moved the Sapp and Cody news into this thread and temporarily locked the 2014 thread, since we're on to the future.

On Sapp, I'll be honest: I felt a sense of schadenfreude when I heard that news. That guy has been a grade A asshole for a long time and it seems like he built up a huge karma debt that's being foreclosed upon now.

On Cody, when I first heard that the Ravens were only cutting him, I found that as quite odd, because he was going to be a free agent anyway and Ozzie Newsome obsesses on getting as many compensatory draft picks as possible. Cutting Cody instead of letting his contract expire potentially costs the Ravens a comp pick. I guessed that whatever the reason why wasn't going to be good for Cody...and I hate that I'm right. :(

I have a cousin who is the worst type of Boston sports fan, i.e., he shares the most asinine stuff about "the city of champions" and occasionally homophobic things about Peyton Manning and slightly racist things about Richard Sherman and such (he also loves John Cena and is bad at the internet, shares Jeff Dunham jokes, etc.). But this morning he posted the following picture which actually made me chuckle; it's going to be the last thing I post about the Superbowl, I swear:

Sometimes I'm fuzzy on the details: can the Pats try to negotiate a new contract with Revis before they have to make a decision on his option? Or do they have to decide yay/nay before even trying for a new contract?

I can't remember, but Revis is a must-sign, and it at least looks like they are entertaining the idea of that whopping option or something similar. Brady, Gronk, Revis - you really could call these guys the 'big three' and must haves.

Jason La Canfora just eviscerated Jimmy Haslam in this article. The nightmare just won't end for the Browns...
