Spiderman=Black People is a very poor place to start from, with regards to this movie, superheroes in general, basically anything. It's an unhelpful generalization that has nothing to do with the history of superheroes. This movie isn't even going to be, at its heart, about Spiderman. IMO.

id say the majority of film goers who know spiderman know peter parker

while they didnt kill off pete a new group also knows miles as spiderman but that is the ultimate universe (i know they are bringing miles to the normal marvel universe but thats another thread)

either could work since the current MMU is based on the ultimate universe with bits from the general marvel universe

I'll just go on record as saying, I don't care if Spider-Man is black, white, Mexican, or Russian. I really don't. Get a great actor and a good script and I'm all in.
