Didn't think Ed was that good on piano. Did he play and sing the entire song himself?

LBC solo acoustic sounds surprisingly awesome.
Yeah, it is great.

I love nearly all the Ed solo versions of the full band songs.

Me too. Immortality and Sometimes are both very good.

Did people who paid the $1,500 VIP package get to meet Vedder? I was seriously considering dropping that $$ and flying out, but it didn't look like you could count on meeting Vedder, just the other musicians.
Disclaimer: The kind of work I do means that I interact with about 3-4 celebrities (from the D-list to A-list) per year and I never ask for autographs or even a photo (primarily because I think it's unprofessional and I typically just don't care). The only celebrity I'd make an exception for is Vedder. I guess you could call that a bucket list item if I had a list.

Everything after LBC was with a band and guests, including Len Kasper and Theo Epstein. I believe it was Rick Nielsen's son (Dax) on drums for the whole set. Word is that EV said a few pre-show words to the VIPs before GA opened and then played piano while Theo, Gammons and others spoke.
Couple of auction notes:
EV autographed pic of him on stage at Wrigley went for $8k.
2 EV autographed guitars for $17.5k each (I think they added a pic with EV to that)
EV autographed poster was only other EV item.

Ed sounds so much better when he's not with pearl jam.

Pretty cool sax solo over the bridge chords then a nasty outro with wailing guitar and saxaphone. actually sounds super great.

Wouldn't an era of Pearl Jam with some subtle piano by Ed be interesting and a nice change from having Steak Paws (Boom) clunking and clanking over every song?
And I agree, over the last five years or so most of the stuff Ed has done has sounded awesome as opposed to his work with Pearl Jam (alough I thought the2013/ 2014 PJ tours were improved).

I thought Uke Songs sucked. Piano playing Ed would need to be in a side project, not PJ.

Damn that's a lot of money for a couple pictures and a couple guitars.

I'm not sure I really understand Ed's current look on an aesthetic level.
