The PC bias in that article's writing is insufferable, too.
I feel like all that comes through in her sketches and comments now is agenda, which is not something I'm interested in.
Not sure how that equates to Amy Schumer being a PC comedian now.
That's just one small example (comedians apologizing for jokes almost always rubs me the wrong way). But it's a larger issue with the attitude in her work now. I just feel like everything she does is haranguing about things I already understand or agree with, which I find very boring and unchallenging. I mean, I'm glad she's out there scoring points for feminism and everything, but I don't think there's anything insightful or interesting about how she's doing it. I'm already on the team, you know? It comes across as agenda over quality. The line between pandering harangue and illustrative insight is a tricky one, and I will add that the latter is often un-PC.
I agree. My opinion is her style of comedy is simply just boring now. But I think we see the same issue just a different color of it.
I remember watching a special of hers before she got the show and the majority of the jokes were "I'm Jewish" and "I'm not that pretty." She's definitely funny, but she tends to hit the same notes.
