Felt very much like a "pilot" episode. My wife liked it, but I'm not convinced it won't be blade runner with boobs.

It was pretty 'meh' but I'll keep watching. About halfway through the pilot I felt like it was sliding toward bad/shitty.

The scenes with Anthony Hopkins and Jeffrey Wright saved it. There's potential for a great series but I'm not sure if enough talent is present to reach that potential.

I'm intrigued. The scene at the end with Hopkins and Dolores's dad was intense.

Hearing Black Hole Sun on the player piano was unexpected.

I didn't notice Black Hole Sun, when did it appear?

Bar scene before Paint it Black played.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I thought this one was much better than the pilot.

Agreed. I think the second ep actually would've worked well as a pilot.

Apparently these two episodes were originally one feature-length pilot, but they decided to cut it down.

I wondered why it sounded familiar. I like this touch--old timey piano takes on contemporary songs.

The songs performed are all 20+ years old. It really fucks with the concept of when this show is suppose to take place.
