I think this should only count for shows that are episodic in nature. The modern long form serial drama calls for people to watch every episode so it's less of a big deal.

I'm just saying when you've seen every episode of a sitcom where each episode stands on its own and you don't need to see everything to enjoy it it's a bigger deal, or a bigger sign of your fandom. If you've seen every episode of Breaking Bad it's not just because the show is awesome, but because the future episodes won't make any sense if you miss an earlier one.
