I feel like they aren't confident enough in Binaural or Riot Act (and I'm guessing the two albums after that) to do a full album show, so they're just choosing random shows to play 3-4-5 songs off that album instead.

its baffling to me...why they hate Binaural? Its such a gem in their discography.

It's not a favorite of much of the Jamily (and you can tell by reactions to the songs live when you are at the show / listen to bootlegs). More than that I think it brings up some painful memories - Roskilde, Ed's divorce, and you can tell Ed and Stone weren't getting along very well during this era either. So it's probably not something they want to do very often. It bums me out. Binaural is my #2 PJ album (after Vitalogy) and I've only heard 4 of the 13 songs live in my 8 shows.

At least on the first leg US shows you can cut the tension with a knife. Ed rips on Stone a bunch of times, and I'd be inclined to believe it was a joke if Ed sounded like he was joking. There are numerous shows on that leg at least where this happens.

Those poor people in Ottawa probably thought they'd get out of there without hearing Sirens (played 22nd).
