I did too, but somewhere around the age of 30 it went from "great song" to one of my favorites.

Kevin Davis wrote:"Wishlist" is great. I think its prevailing sense of sweetness loses it some points with the cool crowd, but I've always thought the song was just a damn clever way to say I love you. Immaculate guitar textures throughout as well.
Davis gets it.

Wishlist is a wonderful song

When Yield first came out, I remember Push Me Pull Me being one of my favorite songs on the album for a while. Not sure why. I wouldn't make that same mistake now but for old times sake, PMPM

You know, last year I posted something along the lines of "Wishlist can lick my balls", and just yesterday I posted the above comment, but I have to say that I think I've been a tad harsh and my position on this song is actually softening.

I recall stip saying last year that Wishlist was his wedding song and that made me feel a bit bad about bagging it so much. My wife loves Just Breathe and it means a lot to her personally and it can feel a bit crappy when it is bagged by others (but of course they are still valid opinions, I'm just saying I appreciate one man's trash is another's treasure).

I played Yield today whilst cooking steaks on the BBQ and found myself happily bopping along to Wishlist without consciously knowing what song it was at the time.

So Wishlist has certainly grown on me over time. I still can't say I like it per se, and I actively dislike the dumb fade out, but my stance isn't as harsh as it once was.

Phew. Glad to have that off my chest.

Not to ruin your journey, but at my most beautiful was my wedding song. Wish list was the song I associated with a very serious relationship in college, which took it out of wedding song contention

Great wedding song. I wish I was all these things but honey I'm not. I fall short of your expectations in every way. Aren't you glad we're now married.

Wishlist is not about failing the expectations of your partner, it's about wishing you could be better for the person you love, and about the way our real selves can never live up to the idealized version (not the real) of the person you care most about that we create in our minds

Whereas push me/pull me is just more of the pseudo pop self help beat philosophy that dominates yield
