1/2 Full, easily. It didn't click until I saw it live, and now I love that song to no end.
Same feelings here. And, whenever I want to bask in that song's bigtime outtro I watch the Chop Suey video performance.
Great performance.

I've slowly turned into a pretty big fan of Inside Job - lyrics and all.

Honestly, I've always liked it. And while I still think it's one of the weaker tracks on the album, I've never understood the bashing it takes. The lyrics are a little subpar, but some of them still really hit and register with me. And the music is interesting. It's really not a terrible song.

I just listened to 1/2 Full and Yellow Ledbetter.... back to back...
I'm thinking of changing my vote to 1/2 Full.

Hey, how you choose to feel is how you are.

It reaches too high and falls short. The production and lyrics are its downfall. It's not a bad song at all.

This. Exactly.
The fact that it's Mike's gives it some leniency, too. The guy went out on a limb and out of his comfort zone. There's something commendable about that. Maybe it should have been a B-Side or whatever. But I gotta respect the effort.

Listening to lots of live versions really sold me on the excellence of the music, they really nail that expansive, wide-focus classic rock feel, and the lyrics that once sounded ham-fisted and clunky now sound refreshingly direct, sincere and unaffected.
It went from being barely tolerable, to admirably flawed to being unexpectedly satisfying.
Run into the rain, guys. Be a human light again.

The run into the rain line is one of my favorites on the whole album. Since first listen, I've loved it. So genuine and pure. Great expression.

Totally agree.
Damnit, Stip, you and I agree on a lot of Pearl Jam. It's easy to focus on the disagreements, but I dig your style.

The best thing about Inside Job was ripped off from a 311 song. A 311 SONG.
Its worthless.
