RM is almost as overrated as In My Tree. Good stuff but not top drawer.

Look team, I love Red Mosquito. It's the song I was listening to when I posted my "do I like No Code more than Yield" question a few days back. It's a great song. Love the mood and tone and hallucinatory frenzy of the thing. It's fuzzy in all the right places.
It has a lot of things that Go does not. Almost tactile tones, a genuine melody, and none of the bullshit alpha male chest puffing.

I'm not sure rocking the fuck out is synonymous with "alpha male chest puffing."

Although I'm voting for Go, I'm so happy Red Mosquito lasted longer in the tournament than IMT.

It's not. But I'm talking specifically about Go.

IMT is out of this thing. So clearly RM is MORE overrated, no?

Enjoy your RAWK music guys.

Kevin fucking Davis and myself and 7 others will listen to a song that transcends generic labels and alternative rock radio stations.

I'll be honest: I don't really like blues and don't really care for PJ's blues-inspired rockers

Dude, are you serious? It isn't because they are playing "fast and hard" in the song, it is how they do it. We all know they have the capability because of Mike, but the "fast and hard" song is crafted almost perfectly and only long enough to get you to a point of "whoa, what the f*ck is this?!" only to immediately have the song end and say "whoa, what the f*ck was that?!"

Right. Anyone can play fast and hard. The hard part is making that feel purposeful, harnessing that chaos and molding it into a great, focused song. "Go" is perfection.

plus it represents a time in their early career where they were coming off of the success of Ten and didn't want to give in to the masses, so they said "f*ck it, let's open with this beast".

I know right?! He's starting to sound like you talking about In My Tree. It's absurd!

No. I never made such generalizations about IMT. And if I did, it is only because I'm right.

You should listen to some Robert Johnson, LV.
