RM is almost as overrated as In My Tree. Good stuff but not top drawer.
oh, its top drawer all right.LetMeSleep wrote:RM is almost as overrated as In My Tree. Good stuff but not top drawer.
It has a lot of things that Go does not. Almost tactile tones, a genuine melody, and none of the bullshit alpha male chest puffing.durdencommatyler wrote:Look team, I love Red Mosquito. It's the song I was listening to when I posted my "do I like No Code more than Yield" question a few days back. It's a great song. Love the mood and tone and hallucinatory frenzy of the thing. It's fuzzy in all the right places.Kaius wrote:Joey

It's not. But I'm talking specifically about Go.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I'm not sure rocking the fuck out is synonymous with "alpha male chest puffing."

IMT is out of this thing. So clearly RM is MORE overrated, no?LetMeSleep wrote:RM is almost as overrated as In My Tree. Good stuff but not top drawer.

Kevin fucking Davis and myself and 7 others will listen to a song that transcends generic labels and alternative rock radio stations.
Dude, are you serious? It isn't because they are playing "fast and hard" in the song, it is how they do it. We all know they have the capability because of Mike, but the "fast and hard" song is crafted almost perfectly and only long enough to get you to a point of "whoa, what the f*ck is this?!" only to immediately have the song end and say "whoa, what the f*ck was that?!"Kaius wrote:Hey guys look they're playin really fast and hard
Right. Anyone can play fast and hard. The hard part is making that feel purposeful, harnessing that chaos and molding it into a great, focused song. "Go" is perfection.E.H. plus it represents a time in their early career where they were coming off of the success of Ten and didn't want to give in to the masses, so they said "f*ck it, let's open with this beast".E.H. No. I never made such generalizations about IMT. And if I did, it is only because I'm right.durdencommatyler wrote:I know right?! He's starting to sound like you talking about In My Tree.
