Yeah, that was a good year. Wish I had seen more shows that year.

I wish I was a little older. Was my first show in Milwaukee. I can still feel it.

Hail Hail, easily. The difference of quality in these songs is ridiculous.

chewm's hate for Go is way worse than my mild dislike for IMT.

I don't know what to do...

I'm leaning towards Go but I just don't know....

I'm gonna have to have a think on this.

Sorry, I honestly don't hate, or even dislike that song.
It was never a favorite of mine and I never really got the "elite PJ" reputation that it has, between both early era or even middle era PJ fans, when it really isn't a song I look forward to listen to when listening to Vs. It might have been affected by the fact that it's followed by Animal, which is a somewhat similar and actually simpler song, but feels a lot tighter for me.
I guess I never felt the same way most people feel about the song and I tried to be very vocal about it, especially in these tournaments, where it always makes it very far and absolutely destroys everything in its first rounds. My own comments might honestly have affected my perception of the song, and I might like it more than I think, I honestly haven't listened to Vs. in a while.

No need to be sorry. My campaign against IMT was way worse

My first was Soldier Field that year, which featured these opening 8 songs...
Release > Go > Last Exit > Spin the Black Circle > Tremor Christ > Corduroy > Whipping > I Got Shit

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some pants to change.

I don't know if I'd put Go with "Elite PJ" either, but listening to that version posted from Japan was really good. It helped me realize that I think of it as definitive, but not elite. And, in the case against Red Mosquito, a definitive song beat a really good song.

My elite list is like top 10, and I think a good chunk of those have been eliminated.

My elite list and my top 10 are fairly different. RVM is in the former, but not the later. Actually none of the final 4 songs are in my top 10. Maybe not even top 20.

I'm pretty well represented in the winners bracket, though

Love 'em both. Have no problem with either winning. But my vote here isn't difficult.

Hail Hail.

I honestly thought I'd be voting for Hail Hail this round because I've always thought it should win but I just listened to them back-to-back ... I like Go better. Image

My first Sydney March 10, 95.
Go - STBC - Last Exit - Tremor Christ - Animal - Corduroy - Not For You - SoLaT

Jaw dropping stuff.
