Blonde on Blonde has been my traditional response to the "favorite Dylan album" question, but I find myself going back to Desire more than anything else.

I just can't quit Desire. That thing is so gorgeous. It's definitely the one I listen to from beginning to end the most.

Desire would be a top-tier album if it wasn't bogged down by twelve minutes of "Joey," arguably Dylan's worst song of the 1970's. Such a wonderful sound, though--and a few superb outtakes.

Actually heard Mozambique on the radio today. Blood On The Tracks is probably my favorite album but I spin his 60s output quite a bit.

He's got some good shit between Blonde on Blonde and Blood on the Tracks, too, guys. Listening to him throughout the decades is so interesting and varied.

Plus he's got so many fucking songs out there it's about as overwhelming as a discog can be.

Blood on the Tracks is my favorite as well. It has been great for sad times and happy times, walking the dog times and back deck drinking times. The drone guitar in Meet Me in the Morning has a grip on my soul that forces me to listen at least once a week for the last 6 or 7 years. It might be stupid to openly share with a board filled with cynical, sarcastic persons, but the lyrical brilliance of Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts has brought a tear to my eye.

I'm with you guys on Desire. I also enjoy Blone on Blonde, but based on listening pleasure, it isn't in my top 8 Dylan albums. An album I come back to often and would put it in my top 4 Dylan albums is Oh Mercy. Dive into that one if you haven't!

I still think Trying to Get To Heaven might be my favourite Dylan song. I'd give anything for a Tom Waits cover.

Just listened. That's pretty good. I like the noise and Lanegan sounds great on it.

I prefer BOB and Highway 61 Revisited to Blood on the Tracks. BOB is a bit edgier and has Visions of Johanna while H61R is bookended by two of the greatest songs of all-time.

Blood on the Tracks is a perfect record but I don't think it pushes me around enough - There's nothing to dislike but I like that there a still bits of those other records that I dislike and get annoyed by in a good way and songs that keep revealing themselves.
