The new I am Kloot album Let it All In is real good. I loved 2010's Sky at Night and this has caught me in very much the same way.
I've given Low's The Invisible Way a single listen and it's certainly them playing, if you know what I mean, but I need to play it a few more times yet.
I'm a big fan of The Rabbit, esp. Midnight Organ Fight, and I loved the recent EP. The album is no disappointment but again it needs a few more spins.
Not a bad January in my mind with just those 3 releases.

The Invisible Way is technically a March release

Oh! How'd I manage that then? Oops.
Oh wait! I see what you're saying. Yep, I've just given I am Kloot another spin and I'd still say it's a good January with just
that release.

Since I work in southern Rhode Island, this is all useless to me. But my girlfriend drives up to Boston, so she probably gets cud'd a couple of times a day and doesn't even know it!

find magazines or blogs that deal with the kind of stuff you're interested in, follow them via whatever (RSS/Twitter/Facebook), same with labels

Right now, I'm looking forward to a couple of albums:
Jerusalem in My Heart - Mo7it al-Mo7it
Colin Stetson - New History Warfare Vol. 3: To See More Light
There's a couple more albums I know of that are coming out that I might check out:
Akron/Family - Sub Verses
Flaming Lips - The Terror
Sigur Ros are supposedly going to have a new one this year as well.

Yes indeed! I love that label and ardently follow and support them.

Apologies for the double post, but I have to add another album to my wantlist this year.
Eluvium - Nightmare Ending is a double album out in May.

That's odd, comes up fine for me and at work of all places (big bank, tons of security on our PCs)
I'm sure there are alternatives out there. Whoever maintained the 2012 New Releases Thread on the old board would get tons of kuddos from this dude for starting that back up again. That's actually where I used to get all of my new releases news.
