I feel like Ten is one of their weakest albums lyrically.

In hindsight, sure. But when I was 13-18, I loved that shit.

I take a walk outside
I'm surrounded by some kids at play
I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear
Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin round my head

Stupid. Twisted thoughts about kids at play? Little kids at play is supposed to cheer someone up after their girlfriend broke up with them? Maybe one's own kids, but some random kids while out on a walk? Nah, that's just weird and cheesy. "Oh some little kids! But why am I still sad??"

I think Leatherhead had a bad dream about cheese and then woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Pretty sure the twisted thoughts are not related to the kids at play lol.......think that's a separate line.

And I dont think its weird and cheesy I think the lyrics are very effective. He's surrounded by happy things but cannot feel happy. Plus those ending lines....

He says, "and," linking the lines together. And then follows it up with, "I'm spinning, oh, I'm spinning," like kids spinning on a merry-go-round, once again linking the lines together.

I still think the lines aren't related. The 'and' is a transition into a new thought I think

What lyrics could you possibly not like from Red Mosquito?

I think he's talking about "the sky I scrape". I still disagree tho.

Yup, 'up here so high the sky III SCRAAAAAPE!' I hate that lyric lol. (I really dislike the lyrics to that song in general)

That song is one of my favorites fron this band. I honestly love the lyrics and the delivery adds a lot to them.

I thought that seeing the children made him think of a future he'll never have with her, now...the family they might have started.

But then I thought it's a stupid song that interpretation can't save.

Put a little exciting
On the aforementioned verse
Pursuing the greahter whay for hall human le-hight
But they don't wave

Though he doesn't know to read
Kindred to being American
He looks just like me, a mirror
Spilled my tincture
