I feel like Ten is one of their weakest albums lyrically.

Pretty sure the twisted thoughts are not related to the kids at play lol.......think that's a separate line.Leatherhead wrote:I take a walk outside
I'm surrounded by some kids at play
I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear
Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin round my head
Stupid. Twisted thoughts about kids at play? Little kids at play is supposed to cheer someone up after their girlfriend broke up with them? Maybe one's own kids, but some random kids while out on a walk? Nah, that's just weird and cheesy. "Oh some little kids! But why am I still sad??"
yea, but, he umm...he is saying he's so heartbroke over it that not even the sight of children makes him happy.Leatherhead wrote:I take a walk outside

Also, yea they are terrible on paper but....
He says, "and," linking the lines together. And then follows it up with, "I'm spinning, oh, I'm spinning," like kids spinning on a merry-go-round, once again linking the lines together.mikejasond wrote:Pretty sure the twisted thoughts are not related to the kids at play lol.......think that's a separate line.Leatherhead wrote:I take a walk outside

And I dont think its weird and cheesy I think the lyrics are very effective. He's surrounded by happy things but cannot feel happy. Plus those ending lines....
Surrounded? By kids and some pictures.......mikejasond wrote:Pretty sure the twisted thoughts are not related to the kids at play lol.......think that's a separate line.Leatherhead wrote:I take a walk outside

I still think the lines aren't related. The 'and' is a transition into a new thought I thinkLeatherhead wrote:He says, "and," linking the lines together. What lyrics could you possibly not like from Red Mosquito?mikejasond wrote:Actually, this forum is named after one of those cheesy lyrics IMO. I don't think it would come off as bad if the music wasn't designed in a way to bring out the lyrics though.
I think he's talking about "the sky I scrape". I still disagree tho.Leatherhead wrote:What lyrics could you possibly not like from Red Mosquito?mikejasond wrote:Actually, this forum is named after one of those cheesy lyrics IMO. That song is one of my favorites fron this band. I honestly love the lyrics and the delivery adds a lot to them.mikejasond wrote:Yup, 'up here so high the sky III SCRAAAAAPE!' I hate that lyric lol.
