It's a shame how Janeane Garofalo turned out. She used to be so funny and cute and nowdays she's just boring, super-serious, miserable, asexual and not funny at all.
She was cute, wasn't she? I remember thinking that as a 15 y/o. I haven't seen or heard much from her since mystery men. Just kind of flew off my radar. Sounds like there is a reason for it.
This has got me interested. What's her schtick now days exactly?
She's still around, she's just neglecting her duties as a woman to be cute and sexual.
Zactly !!

I enjoyed her political stuff before, but she was just flat-out not funny when we saw her. We felt bad for her and stuck around until the end. It actually made local news here and she played it off like the crowd was just super conservative. This was total BS as the gay friend the wife and I went with estimated that half the crowd was from PHX's lesbian-gay community. It didn't help that Zach Galifianakis was her opening act and he absolutely killed.

Going to see Bob Marley for the third time on Friday. His specials don't do him justice, he's piss-on-yourself funny. And no, I'm not from Maine.

Hedberg's genius was you literally had to be there. Nobody can duplicate his delivery. And I'm sure we've all tried once and failed miserably.

one of my claims to fame is that when we lived in NYC, we (me and my wife/then girlfriend) used to catch Louis CK all the time at small clubs in the mid-2000s before he made it big. Like 20-30 person audiences... he just slayed everyone in attendance. I sat next to Chelsea Handler one night at his show.

Another one of my favorite performances was catching Patrice O'Neal at Caroline's one night. He was so f'in hammered he couldn't even stand up. Some group of tourist ladies booed one of his jokes from the back, and he just went off the chain with sex position jokes and one-liners. They became so offended, they left.

We used to live down the street from Dangerfield's, so we used to catch all sorts of no-name acts. Open mic night is still one of my faves.... just to watch someone crash and burn :haha:

Moshe Kasher's special is amazing and ends with one of the most batshit absurd bits I've ever seen. I highly recommend it.

Yeah man, how strange. Seats. An audience. A P.A system. A stage! Shit.

I guess you could call that a stage. It kind of looks like he's standing on the corner at a diner.
