Hard boiled eggs are disgusting. I only have scrambled if someone else is cooking and that's what they're making.
what is it about the hard boiled you dont like? just the taste or is it a texture thing?cutuphalfdead wrote:Hard boiled eggs are disgusting. I only have scrambled if someone else is cooking and that's what they're making.

im hoping after we have our cast iron well seasoned ill be able to do stuff like that, but if i put the eggs in the pan and go to flip or fold or anyhting like that, they just wrinkle up and i end up scrambling them and adding my extras into the mess. the seasoned cast iron should be the best non stick ive used so that may help my skillcutuphalfdead wrote:Do a full flip first, it makes it easier.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:when i try to make them myself i cant do the foldcutuphalfdead wrote:How does RM feel about omelets?

i can kinda see it, the white and the yolk separate and nothing added to the cooking process to help flavor them, but i love em with a little salt and peppertheplatypus wrote:What? Never ate them after coloring them for Easter?Chris_H_2 wrote:The only time I've ever eaten a hard-boiled egg is in a salad. I can't imagine cracking them open and eating them with nothing else.
Nah, they've always been warm and it kind of creeped me out.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:Never ate them after coloring them for Easter?Chris_H_2 wrote:The only time I've ever eaten a hard-boiled egg is in a salad. I can't imagine cracking them open and eating them with nothing else.
Omelets are served for dinner in the Vegman household at least once a week. Usually we go with a Mexican (cheese, green and chili peppers, onions, salsa) or Greek (feta, spinach).cutuphalfdead wrote:How does RM feel about omelets?
I like the sound of the Mexican style. Going to try this sometime.vegman wrote:Omelets are served for dinner in the Vegman household at least once a week. Nah, if you're going to have them by themselves they need to be soft-boiled. With toast to dunk.Chris_H_2 wrote:The only time I've ever eaten a hard-boiled egg is in a salad. I can't imagine cracking them open and eating them with nothing else.
I've never had soft boiled, how do you do those?WtOB? wrote:Nah, if you're going to have them by themselves they need to be soft-boiled. Pop them in the saucepan while the water is still cold. Bring to boil, then turn down to medium and simmer for about 3 mins, then take out with a spoon and pop it into and egg cup. Then remove the top with a spoon and dunk with toast.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:I've never had soft boiled, how do you do those?WtOB? wrote:Nah, if you're going to have them by themselves they need to be soft-boiled.
