I mean, I get All The Way, Ed's a total homer for the Cubs. He goes to 1000 games per year. He talks about them incessantly. He attends Cubs baseball camps for (presumably) grown-ups. He's a musician, so sure, use your skill to write a song about a very legitimate and obvious passion. And of course you're gonna play it at the stadium. But man, it's so lame to an outsider.

If Ed was just a dude on Soundcloud, this song would be posted in a CUBS ART thread

Not a Cubs fan, but I do love baseball. I appreciate the reverence for the game contained in this song. It's not a great song, but I truly appreciate where the song comes from.

I love baseball and the song is embarrassing.

It occurred to me that, if EV does retire this song, it will likely end up being the one PJ/EV original that I have seen the first (Auditorium Theater '08) and last (Wrigley '16) performances of. Unless I somehow end up catching the last ever performance of "U," which seems unlikely.

This is totally going to be the Holiday Single now isn't it?
