I don't even mean to imply that rejecting this deal was a bad decision. I honestly don't know. Normalizing a hated terrorist organization has got to be a tough pill to swallow, and may not actually be worth whatever chance at peace this deal would have allowed.
In general, though, direct yay or nay votes by the voters at large on a specific referendum is a mistake. People should be able to pick their leaders. Representatives hopefully have cooler tempers and a longer vision.

Yeah. The people who voted for the deal weren't saying "yay, we love FARC"; they were saying "dear God please stop killing us".

Yeah I get that, I was just wondering if there was this weird faction of people sympathetic to them on the fringes of mainstream culture.
