I was rooting against the cubs. The drought was a great piece of sports mythology. Now they're just another team.

that video is like a 90's alternative rock pep assembly with vedder being in the middle of all the front row pop's and sad corgan just a bench away from so much adoration and glory.

sports wins close to an election also have a small but measurable impact on voter choices. wins support incumbent candidates (functionally Clinton), and vice versa. So if Trump wins Ohio by a small margin, and wins the presidency, we will know why...

Are you talking about the Cubs' celebration or the Rod Stewart concert?

Inside the back cover this week is an illustration of Cubs fans titled "Suffer Club" and ol' EV didn't make the cut. What a loser.
