Lol. I'm the same way with Billy Crudup
Yea, I loved him when Almost Famous came out. But he always seems to play the same vaguely assholish character, and by some accounts that's not far off from his real life personality.
Classic Trag.

I tend to enjoy Crudup's work. Franco is hit or miss for me. But when he hits, he's outstanding.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I totally get that.

But he tends to do his best work when he's a surprise, I think. I like him the best, usually, when I expect to hate him.

His "It's all art" diatribe in This Is the End really made me appreciate him more.
I have not yet seen that film. Though, I am looking forward to it.

The first two acts are great fun. It jumps the shark in the third, but so what, it's not aiming to be anything more than funny and post-modern.
I can dig that.

I'm not really sensing a connection to "Prometheus" (which I was hoping for a continuation on) and the suspense/horror aspects of this were kind of lame. It looks nice.
