Hasn’t been great since Dave A. But it was fucking fantastic then.

I adore how easy it is to play this song on guitar and how fun it is to sing.

I love this song.
It's weird watching live versions over the years how you can trace Eddie's declining vocal range by how much he seems to need to try in order to hit the high notes.
He still hits them today, but it seems like it takes all the effort from his body, whereas before the power just came from him effortlessly.
I fear the day he can't hit them anymore T_T
The brooklyn performance of this in 2013 was truly special...such a loud crowd.
I'm shocked how good the end chorus sounded because his voice wasn't what it once was even then. But now, 2013 Eddie was better than I remember it being in 2013. Im sure Ill feel the same about 2024 Eddie in ten years.
Still, it's strange how in the last ten years his voice has seemingly deepened and almost sounds...wider? I don't know how to describe that lol. It's so hard to put to words but he seems to need all his concentration and effort to stay in tune, keep his voice steady, and also hit higher notes. Sometimes he nails it, sometimes he doesn't. I remember it being like that in 2013 too, but now looking back, he definitely was more stable then than now. But man, this song is great, and one of the best live songs.

I also really like the tempo they would play this at in 2006
I feel like it tends to drag often, but in 06 they had it at a great speed

I just bought the Go single and wondered what was that " non-album " version of Elderly woman. Well, amazing acoustic version ! Change of lyrics at one point, too. I must say I'd never heard it before.
Great guitar song, great emotion.

Close to a perfect song. I could analyze why it works, but in the end it brings me joy, and vivid memories of youth.
