Isabelle Huppert should win best actress and that's all that matters.

I've heard good things. Haven't seen the film, though.

Andrew Garfield is a goddamn great actor. I have no idea why trag hates him so much. A list, B list, C list, W list... don't give a shit. He's fucking great in everything.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I... I'm not sure that's true, though.

We all got made at him for being a racist, misogynistic, lunatic asshole. But he's been active in Hollywood the entire time. He hasn't directed in a decade. But I'm not sure that's a blacklisting issue. Maybe it is. I really don't know. Just seems like he's been trying to find his next thing. He found it. And everyone agrees he's a great director. Seems weird that people are surprised that's being recognized. *shrug*

My assumption was that enough of the bankrolling for movies comes from Jewish people, so that he was probably having a tough time getting investors to support any movies he wanted to make. Was The Beaver the first thing he did after his rough patch?
He directed Apocalypto in 2006. His drunk driving incident was that same year. His domestic violence issue was in 2010. He appeared in the film Edge of Darkness that same year, 2010.
