I Am Mine. There are parts that skirt the edge of cheesiness but it's such a well-written song, and that last chorus is fantastic.

It's got a really nice, subtle build that pays off in the last minute.

Up to now, I would have voted for I Am Mine. When Riot Act first came out, it wouldn't have been difficult. I love I Am Mine. It's an amazing song that manages to never fall too far to either side of the things its trying to do. It's a smart and emotional song that really resonates with me.

However... Help Help has rocketed up my rankings over the years. So much so, that whenever I put Riot Act on, I play Help Help first because I just NEED to hear it before skipping back to the beginning and playing the whole thing all the way through. Then I play it again after the album is over. And then I sit around and think about the lyrics and wonder why the song is so fucking powerful.

It's aged well. It's an all around fantastic song. So, my apologies to you, my dear friend, I Am Mine. This year... for the first time... I'm voting against you.

This is difficult for me, guys. But here we are. But by no means will I be upset if I Am Mine manages to win (it won't, I know, just saying).

Oh! And Arc is fine for what it is. But doesn't stand a chance against really any other Pearl Jam track besides MAYBE Stupid Mop or Pry, To. And even I'd take Pry, To over it.
