You're welcome.

"If I think too much I can get overwhelmed by the grace by which we live our lives with death over our shoulders"-- okay, sure. I don't particularly like that line but it's not horrific.durdencommatyler wrote:The overwhelmed by grace bit is pretty fantastic. I love those lines.
It's never bothered me like it does you (and many others). Totally valid criticism, though. I certainly wouldn't call it crass. But you're way better at listening to AND writing about music than I am. So you're probably right. Just doesn't bug me personally.theplatypus wrote:"If I think too much I can get overwhelmed by the grace by which we live our lives with death over our shoulders"-- okay, sure. But breaking "over" and "whelmed" up like the song does is just awkward and crass

Yeah my coworker jumped. Then asked me what was so goddamn funny. I told him he wouldn't understand. He insisted. After a back and forth that went on way too long, I told him what was so funny. He didn't even crack a smile. In fact, he looked like he wanted to punch me in the dick.bodysnatcher wrote:AL really loudlydurdencommatyler wrote:evenslow wrote:Ironic considering it's your love for this album that will eventually undo your family.stip wrote:i kind of forgot how much i like this album, and how full of middle aged themes it is. i turn 40 next month, so its right where im at now. an album full of songs about wanting to not fuck up the future for my family

I tried to warn him.
My wife and I have strikingly similar interactions. So much so, that I've learned to shorten "Pearl Jame message board" to just "RM." I've probably saved a good a year of my life by doing that.bodysnatcher wrote:that happened once with the wife, and now every time I laugh at something and she asks what it was, I just have to say, "Pearl Jam message board" and that's it. She just rolls her eyes, mumbles "dorks", and wants no further explanation
