I don't hate them they just don't tend to hold my interest over multiple listens. Once or twice is enough. A million things go through my mind with instrumentals that make me kinda nuts. I keep waiting for someone to start singing even when I know no one will. I wonder why they decided to not add vocals. Was it they couldn't think of a good melody? Are they being lazy. Can I come up with a good melody? No what I just came up with sucks. I'm hungry. Are they just filling space? Why are they just repeating the same riff over and over? Oh shit its moms birthday tomorrow. Maybe if it was shorter I would like it. There needs to be another guitar solo there. They should swap those parts. Is it racist to call this Hispanic Impressions? What does that even mean? Then the song is over. I figure why subject myself to all that.
It sounds like you have a problem with bad instrumentals. I do too.

Yeah...my thing with a lot of em is they're not interesting enough to not have a vocal melody. I can listen to a good one in the context of an album all the through every time.
