I like Black, but this match may have the largest gap between the two songs of any match this round. I think the atmosphere Black evokes is perfect, but the song itself has slightly dipped over time for me. Release continues to strike me in the right moment, although it's one of the few PJ songs, at least from their pre S/T period, that I find it difficult to go back to the studio version. Release is so simple in its construction, it just feels more right existing in the moment of a live performance.

It's Black for me. But Release is great too.

These songs fair about the same for me. Neither are my favorites from Ten. In fact, I like most of the other songs on that album over these two. I guess I've been liking Release a little more lately, so I'll vote for it.

I do like March Madness, it's a good reason to dive back into the catalog, and winter turning into spring is always the time I tend to listen to Pearl Jam the most anyway.
