I eat pancakes for dinner, waffles for dessert. Neither for breakfast. Don't use syrup either, unless I order American pancakes somewhere.

Correct. They are both ultra rich. I can't eat them together; it's too much.

Next time you're in NYC head up to Harlem and go to Sylvia's or Melba's. Either one will change your life.

So I've always loved fried chicken and waffles, thought it one of life's great pleasures. Then the last time I was in Asheville, I went on a big hike on a hot day, then went to eat this after...And it just felt so gross. Haven't had the appetite for the dish since.
While unfortunate, it makes sense to me. I think the last thing I'd want after a hot, active day is chicken and waffles. But I'm sorry that you're off something you love. That sucks. Hopefully, it'll come back around for you. A similar thing happened to me when I got food poisoning from chicken. I didn't want to eat fried chicken for over a year. Just the thought of it made me feel sick.

Your support means the world to me.
I can't tell if you're making fun of me or not but I don't care. I'm here for you, friend.

Nah, I'm just being silly. No fun-making was intended.

Trag that's your own damned fault for eating something so rich and heavy in that situation.

We were visiting with my sis and bro-in-law, it was the last day of our trip, and they had never had chicken and waffles. My sense of hospitality won out over my sense of digestive comfort.
That's fucking food martyrdom. You are a hero, trag.

I mean, it isn't like they couldn't get chicken and waffles anywhere else. Just calm down with the hero talk.

Plus, they're the ones who had never had it. Unless that place only served C&Ws I don't see why trag didn't just go for oatmeal or something.
