It doesn't hurt if you love wrestling, but I think it is not necessary to even like it, to be able to appreciate the show. All the top wrestlers love the show though.

When I saw that the show comes from the makers of OITNB I was slightly hesitant because I'm not huge on that show, but I think this has the potential to be better as long as they keep exploring the rest of the ensemble.
Yes, this show is more consistent. I've given up on OITNB twice. But started again after finishing Glow. It has a similar ensemble feel with one primary character, and also some of the humour seems to come from the same place.

Just finished it.
I really liked it. Maron was great, Brie was good...the whole cast was pretty cool. And it looks amazing too.
