I get annoyed when I see people type out "Eddie is God" on other boards or in the comment sections below PJ-related stories. Incorrect. No, that distinction would be reserved for S.C. Gossard.
I might be able to get to an E-bow.

The only Pearl Jam song that sounds "half finished" is "Save You". And that's because it WAS half finished and they left it that way. Probably the stupidest production decision in their whole catalog.

1. The only music worth listening to is bands and artists who have direct links to Pearl Jam.
2. "Every track on Ten is great."
3. "The band went downhill with Vitalogy and thereafter."
4. "Ed didn't make any effort with the Riot Act vocals."
5. "Binaural would have been their best album if the tracklisting was changed"
6. "What's wrong with being a wedding band for an Oracle networking event? The band can do what they want."
7. "Backspacer didn't make me throw up a little in my mouth the first time I heard it."

While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

Oh god, yes.Blenheim Augustine wrote:1. The only music worth listening to is bands and artists who have direct links to Pearl Jam.
Any time I've ventured a hesitant look at whatever they call the Other Bands section of the official forum, it seemed as though there wasn't a single active thread dedicated to any band that didn't: (a) include a member of Pearl Jam, (b) had supported Pearl Jam, or (c) had been mentioned by a member of Pearl Jam.
Those people aren't music fans. They follow the band like they're a sports team.

Related to that, I scratch my head at comments in the line of "a bad PJ song/album/b-side is still better than anything from any other band". Or the stuff like "as long as there are a couple good songs on their new album I don't care if the rest is meh I'm just happy they're still around and releasing stuff".Birds in Hell wrote:Oh god, yes.Blenheim Augustine wrote:1. And then of course there's stip's hatred for Red Dot.

This baffles me too: OH THANK GOD PEARL JAM CONTINUE TO EXIST! etc.
How would it matter if Pearl Jam broke up? If they're not actively putting out great new work, it's beyond me how it matters one way or another. It's not as though everyone's copies of Ten or No Code will spontaneously combust if the band decided to concentrate on other projects indefinitely.

Does it really baffle you? Or do you just disagree with it?Birds in Hell wrote:This baffles me too: OH THANK GOD PEARL JAM CONTINUE TO EXIST! etc.
I think it's pretty easy to imagine someone feeling that way about a band that's been a big part of their lives. Emotional attachment, comfort in their continued existence. Basic human psychology.
