went a little later in the morning today. 6.09mi in 1:37. not pleased with that time, but it was much hotter at 10 am, and that tends to slow me down.

Re: the walking thread
now that the early morning (0500-0600) temps are in the low 70s, it's brought out other walkers/runners in the neighborhood to the south of us. i got spooked by a woman running on the opposite side of the street from me this morning, and i didn't even have my earbuds in. she just popped up out of nowhere, and it wasn't like she was wearing dark clothing.
she was friendly and said good morning, but it definitely startled me. i've had the run of the two neighborhoods i've been walking these past two months all to myself, save for an elderly man i see like clockwork at 5:15 walking his dog, just as i'm leaving our addition.
she ended up running/jogging to the end of the cul de sac i was now leaving, and then passing by me on the side of the street i was on, and commented on how now that the temps were cooler it made for better running conditions.
i replied with, "absolutely, it's great. enjoy your run!" inside i was thinking...fuck, now i have to deal with people on my walk? goddamnit.
i'm all for people getting out, and getting exercise. i got a little too spoiled when it was just me and the damned spiders.

no walk yesterday. after my alarm went off I and opted to sleep a little longer.
this morning the temp dropped to the low 50s. No one else out there, but a brisk pace, 14:42/mi average.

hey, I’m walkin’ here…
6 miles last night, and again at 0630 this morning.
skipped at least twice the past week, and felt overdue.
