Now Sproles, I knew he was going to be big time. You can only imagine how angry I was when Mike Shanahan passed on him to take Maurice fucking Clarett and see Sproles go to a division rival a round later.

Me either, ---. I just like to shit on 174lb prospective slot receivers.
other than his size, what about his game do you not like?
the system he's coming from.

12 picks in, one take-away: AFC west now features four competent front offices

Yes, the Raiders trade down and still manage to reach. So glad Floyd's not going to Oakland, barring a real plummet on his part.

How sweet would it be to see no QB and no RB taken in the first round? Still a long ways away, but has that ever happened?

from what i saw of them, and what they're compared to (air-raid) the offense they ran at WV is not one i'd think lent itself to projecting a player like austin. basically, i think if he works out, he's percy harvin and even he wasn't a top 20 pick.

i doubt it. but that'd be funny.

Saying that at this point is like talking about a no hitter after 2/3rds of an inning.

I miss the Saturday morning draft....I haven't watched a single second tonight due to Bulls playoff obligations.
How is the mock draft looking? Way off? Pretty close?

I'd much rather jinx this than jinx a no-hitter.

not even close. dj hayden was just picked 12th, and we didn't have him in the 1st round.

If I'm the Panthers I'm racing up to the podium with a card with his name on it, right now.

misleading. harvin's draft was much, much deeper than this one. all picks are relative (hence why all analysis based on that stupid draft "value" chart is, well, stupid), and where harvin was picked isn't really relevant to where austin went.
yeah, from what i've read WR is the toughest position to project. but so long as he's not a patterson-level dumbsh!t, he should be just fine. no prospect is perfect, and, size aside, i just don't see a lot not to like.

I'm struggling in thinking what the Saints should do here. I'd try to trade down--and see if I can get a bidding war between the Vikes and Bears for Te'o.

Didn't expect Vaccaro. I like him a lot, but they already had Roman Harper and Malcolm Jenkins. I wonder if one of those two get traded this weekend.
