It is a bit insulting to Backspacer. But I think there are several songs on the later records that fail in similar ways. Get Right was just the first.

Happy to see Pearl Jam's most overrated song to get knocked the fuck out.

OMG You guys suck Betterman may be one of the best most well constructed pop songs of all time. Its so incredibly done and it amazes me every time how much it accomplishes with so much simplicity

At the very least, it's better than "Immortality"

We all know Corduroy is going to win. Would have eliminated this song two rounds ago. Tremor Christ is superior to all the songs remaining on this list as of this point.

The fact that Tremor Christ, their best song, has ten votes, is truly appalling

Lyrically and vocally their best song on this album.

Round 5 Elimination
Betterman: 44%
I adore this song but, like Small Town, can't argue with any of the songs left

All 4 songs are former MM winners including, I believe, 1-2 repeat champions.

And, once again, I'll happily be one of the 3 people who vote Corduroy out.
It was nice knowing you Immortality. Better luck next year. It should have been Corduroy.

Fantastic song. It really led the way to No Code.
