I was a bit surprised to realize that I had heard every song in the first day of matches before. I didn't recognize a few by name, but must have encountered then on the radio or one of my wife's Pandora stations. I'm not sure if I can say the same about this next set.

This round was so much worse than last round, fuck most of these songs.
If anyone wants me to pontificate about what the nu-metal revival is, let me get a few drinks in me and hope I don't fall asleep from working 10 hours today and maybe I'll post it later.

Today at work I put XM 41 on, the all nu-metal and post grunge satellite radio station. It was kind of in honor of this tournament but mostly because it's still better than the garbage alt station and pop stations they usually have on.
People actually liked it.

It's made a comeback in the 2010's under the guise of the "nu metal revival", while a lot of these bands in the tournament have gone back to incorporating hard riffs, screaming and angsty lyrics on recent albums after years of radio pandering bullshit.

I have a kinda long goatee thing going right now. Last night I put one of my daughter's hair ties in it to amuse my wife and she gave me sexy eyes while I walked past her in slow motion like Hot Topic Charlie Brown made me take it out immediately.
