Exactly, but I think it's kind of weird that people are so upset by the comments. They're not even that out of line. Dave Grohl and Noel Gallagher and hundreds of other rock dudes make similar comments all the time, about music they feel strongly about. Why is everyone so up in arms about Kanye? I feel like I'm missing something.
You are missing something. You're missing the fact that he ruined somebody's well-deserved moment by jumping on stage and acting like a childish imbecile, implying that Beck isn't a real artist and that some skanky bimbo who hasn't written a song in her entire life deserves the award instead. Awww...boo-hoo. It smacks of ignorance, total arrogance, poor judgment, and just a little bit of racism. He made a complete ass out of himself. So stop making excuses for him. He hasn't learned a thing from his past behavior. He thinks he has fucking carte blanche to just interrupt whoever he wants, whenever he pleases. He can make whatever comments he wants to the press, but you do not deliberately ruin other people's moments. That's just flat out disrespectful. But what more would you expect from a rapper who believes that he is Jesus reincarnate and above the rules? I say, bring on the crucifixion.

look, Beck. We've let you post on RM while staying anonymous for some time now, but this is just uncalled for.

The funny thing is Beck seems to be the person least bothered by this. Extreme chill.

I think that's part of why people are making a big deal of this - the people that Kanye has done this to

Obviously the untalented black diva should have won, and not the white multi-instrumentalist that "nobody has ever heard of". There may or may not be racist intent behind Kanye's opinion, but nobody can argue that it is not totally ignorant.

The fact that Kanye cares so much about the Grammys is a huge demerit for his credibility.

10 bucks says Beck guests on a track included on Kanye's next album.

LOL at Beyonce not being talented. Pretty sure singing and dancing really well still count as talent, or at least they did for the hundreds of years before writings songs became the only measure by which we judge people. I don't even like Beyonce but to call her "untalented" is pretty fucking absurd by any stretch of the imagination.
And Kanye is an asshat, but we all knew that already.

Did I say something uncouth? As far as I can tell, every time a white artist wins an award that some black artists are up for, Kanye takes over the stage and throws a hissy fit about how the black artist didn't win...and then goes on a tirade about how the white artist is not a real artist. You guys might be impressed by this, but I'm not. So groan and facepalm all you want. It's pathetic behavior.
