Going to see Ibsen's Ghosts at the Abbey Theater in Dublin in a couple of weeks. Ibsen is one of my all time favorite writers. I've never seen a production of Ghosts but I love the piece. And this new adaptation is written and directed by Mark O'Rowe who is a favorite Irish playwright of mine.
I'm so fucking excited, y'all!

Nice. I actually saw A Doll’s House when I was in high school and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Doll's House is a GREAT play. There's a new revival on Broadway right now starring Jessica Chastain. I have not seen it. But two of my friends with whom I went to college are working on it. They both hate it!
Not the show per se. Just this particular production. Which, admittedly, does sound absurdly pretentious.

Primary Trust (Off-Broadway). Fantastic.

Please go see it if you can.

Do you know if Broadway performers have started using live pitch correction? I saw the Back to the Future musical last night and there was this one actor whose voice sometimes exhibited what sounded to me like digital, autotuney artifacts. Or maybe his voice is just like that

I actually don't know.
Nothing would surprise me through.
How was the show?

It was fun and very expensive-looking. I just wish the jokes were better

There were a couple winky-winky lines that were like "I'm sure by 2020 there will be no disease whatsoever"

Yeesh
I heard the Delorian is pretty rad though. A friend of a friend is in charge of it all and he's sworn to secrecy about the effect. I'll try to see it one of these days if I can afford it.
To clarify, it's entirely possible that those events described in the op totally happened that way. But it's not really "a thing."
Sometimes you get lucky.
I liken it to when my local taco place first opened. Back then it was illegal to take alcohol to go in NYC. I'd go in and order my food "and a margarita to go." They'd put it in a to go container and I'd move on with my night.
Then some nimrod went in and asked them point blank if they did margaritas to go. Of course, they said no because it's illegal.
Eventually they stopped doing it for anyone, even their trusted local regulars like me. A few people can ruin a good thing for everyone.
