i should have known you would say something terrible
I do, and it’s daunting. Just got it maybe a year ago. Old dog, new tricks.wease wrote:Do you have a double bass pedal?Bammer wrote:Tying it all togetherwease wrote:Last Exit was written in Oakland.![]()
I can play a Chad Smith song. You’ll know it’s not him playing, but I can do it. On the other hand it would take a ton of very dedicated practice to play a Danny Carey song and if it involves a lot of fast double bass, forget about it. Playing super super fast also difficult regardless of time signature.
Different players have a different style/groove/musical personality. 4/4 is also easier (more natural) than anything else. Both are concurrently true.

But can the other guys do it every night for 20 years96583UP wrote:i am just catching up on these May shows now and am totally blown away by this... Oakland night 1 has some good vids but they took it to a whole other level on night 2... best PJ show in 20 years probably... no coincidence it is because MATT CAMERON IS NOT ON DRUMS ... and yes he was good in 98 and 2000 but not since... i love matt c to death with soundgarden but this just shows what all of us Dave A people had been clamoring about for DECADES ... GET A FUCKING BETTER DRUMMER IN THERE AND THIS BAND CAN DO GREAT SHIT ... jesus fucking christ how many years wasted with this limp dick stuff... but that aside - some real grail tracks from this show, off the charts stuff.
people can we please start acknowledging that matt in 2003 was also great. probably his best tour with the band.96583UP wrote:i am just catching up on these May shows now and am totally blown away by this...
