Yum, chunks of lobster meat instead of a bisque, which is also delicious. Looks like butter and cream is still involved, which lobster needs one of at all times to be any good (mayo also works).wease wrote:Until this trip to Maine, I had never heard of lobster stew. Mrs Wease ordered it the other night and it was really tasty. She ordered it again tonight at a different place and it was absolutely one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. We’re going back there in a couple of nights and that will be what I get.
Yeah, we expected it to be similar to bisque and it really wasn’t at all. It was actually better than bisque!! (And we’ve not seen bisque on a single menu while up here. Just chowders and stews.)spike wrote:Yum, chunks of lobster meat instead of a bisque, which is also delicious. Bisque gets its flavor from the shells. No need for such pittance in mighty Maine.wease wrote:Yeah, we expected it to be similar to bisque and it really wasn’t at all. Even better than that BBQ you had in St. Louis before the Pj show where you had to stand in line for like 3.5 hours?wease wrote:That was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.Chris_H_2 wrote:why did you just post this in the food and dining forum?wease wrote:Today is an anniversary Maine clambake.
