They all sort of overlap, which is always a hallmark of Souls games.tree_ wrote:Which one?!Monkey_Driven wrote:I think the underground area is my favorite part of the game.
I beat Radahn last night. I'm pretty OP on Intelligence, so I just rode around on my horse and sniped him with some spells from afar. All the summons were good at distracting him. What level are you right now?tree_ wrote:I finally beat Radahn (there's a super easy way to do this), onto a cave past him where I farmed a few level-ups worth of souls, and moved on to Leyndell Royal Capital after finally beating the guy on a horse guarding it. Feels like I'm making real progress now.
80 something. 85? You? I looked it up and learned you can inflict dragon rot on him twice and he will slowly die as you ride around avoiding attacksMonkey_Driven wrote:I beat Radahn last night. Somewhere around there. That build I mentioned earlier in the thread is a lot of fun.tree_ wrote:80 something. 85? You? Everything seems pretty balanced. If I ever get around to a new game plus mode I'll go strength/dexterity, but for now I'm enjoying being more or a caster/mage with a decent sword attack.tree_ wrote:I'm just winging my build. Keeping dex several points above strength for optimal sword attack power, but still trying to keep int and faith somewhat high for when i need distance attacks
This is exactly what i did. It's not a cheese, but that that dragon rot feels a little OP at times. I've used it more than a few times on guys i just couldn't defeat in combat. And pretty much any dual boss. Man double bosses piss me off.tree_ wrote:80 something. 85? You? It's just scarlet rot as far as i'm aware. So there will be enemies that are immune for sure, but it seems to have a pretty heavy DoT effect on most enemies from what I can tell. I've even killed a few dragons with it.tree_ wrote:Does dragon rot only work on a specific type of enemy? It seems like it only sometimes works?
I use dragon breath, i think it's called to inflict the rot. Is there another method you can use?mf wrote:It's just scarlet rot as far as i'm aware. that's the one, right? i'm using a build with a fair amount of Faith and a +10 Godslayer's seal so i might be getting more mileage out of that particular incantation than others?
Are you using your special attack with the bloodhound fang? The windup is pretty long for how fast he moves.tree_ wrote:dodge roll toward his attacks and use your bloodhound fang for some heavy damage
i've found it's easiest to avoid attacks when you're on the opposite side of his sword hand
Yeah, I've been beating a lot of advanced enemies with that special attack. Gotta get it in and get out (or dodge toward him if he's quickly attacking back)Monkey_Driven wrote:Are you using your special attack with the bloodhound fang?
