When my current (2008) car finally dies, I think I’m getting a truck next.
Since this thread is very Ford Heavy I will start there for comparison (size mainly).
F150 size may be a little more than I need so could lean toward Ranger size.
Tell me about your truck.
If you really need a truck, get a Tacoma or Tundra. I have an F150. It's a regular cab configured to last; naturally aspirated 6 with a 6 speed transmission. They don't offer that config anymore. Stay away from the eco boost. Two turbo chargers is asking for costly visits to the dealer, and I think all Rangers are 4 bangers with turbo.

Why do you need a truck, beyond the obvious reason?

I definitely do not need a truck. I just kinda find myself leaning that way when the time comes.
I’m truck-curious.

It’s so you can spend five minutes backing it into parking spaces.

Are you purposely doing this to feed the stereotype? I’ll send you a salt life sticker to put on it

Such a rookie move if you have to get gear out of the back end.

And it turns an already busy parking lot into a cacophony of honking and tire screeches.

Coaching little league baseball requires hauling around a lot of gear
