Oh no. Burt got through to Numbers. They're growing in number.
Hold strong, Nolan-bros.

This was excellent. Great cast.
I saw it in a regular theater and there was only one scene that I think would have been significantly improved by the IMAX aspect ratio - the trinity test. I think that would have looked pretty spectacular in IMAX.

He’s ok. He saw me get kicked square in the balls once when we were chatting to him and I told him my pal here has the hots for him. She physically turned me and straight in the nuts with her foot.
We just don’t like Cork or anyone from there
*his best movie is his very first. Disco pigs. He’s fantastic in it. Deffo worth a watch.

Wasn’t exactly setting the world alight if you follow me.
I think Nolan is punking everyone in exactly this context.
I’m sure his fans will write at length about how it’s a thematic counterpoint.
lol dime. That’s all you have to say about this movie?
I haven’t seen it and don’t intend to. I was just shitposting. But shitpost will be accurate. Just watch.
dimejinky99 wrote:VinylGuy wrote:I wanna see this one on Imax but I guess I’ll go to a regular theatre and then imax
Fuck imax.
Always.
Just go see it in your normal cinema and get the middle seat front row.
Even better. And you save a bunch of money and no assholes playing with their phones or talking to their girlfriends or eating with their mouths open.
That said. This movie is so boring eavesdropping on the guy behind yous phone chat might be a welcome interlude
He got what he paid for. IMAX is a scam. That’ll learn him.

some people are offended by sex scenes and that Nolan choose to include certain “graphic” elements that may or may not have been historically accurate
from where I sit, I think the world needs more films like this
challenging assumptions and imaginations
so yea, when all the sudden the bedroom scene includes a 350 lb black man ejaculating in Oppenheimer’s mouth
I AM NOT OFFENDED LIKE YOU SEX-SHAMER RACISTS
I am a fan of the art and I understand the symbolism of what Nolan is trying to do
and the noise amplification ‘Nolan-style’ of the slurping sounds was totally appropriate as well

There are wayyyyy too many characters in this.
- Spoiler: show
- I also thought this movie was nearly over, but it turned out that there was about an hour left, and that hour is pretty boring and low stakes. Outside of the bomb stuff, the rest of the movie is dull.

I realize that the woke left is so hyperreactive to anything that could be remotely construed as a stereotype
but this is a period piece and the harsh reality is that asians did not have a normalized place in western society for the most part and were usually not treated well or as equals in this place and time
so when the easter brunch sex scene is getting hot n heavy, and Oppenheimer starts screaming to ‘release the japanese emperor’, and a japanese midget emerges from a giant easter quiche butt naked except wearing a rice paddy helmet
and proceeds to get tossed into Oppenheimer’s anus by the italian dressed like mussolini in a way mirroring kamikaze mission bombings
it’s not exactly fair to say that it is negatively portraying asians bc the fact that they even call for him at all evidences sexual progressiveness and openness
and if there were a male japanese stripper available for hire for easter brunch orgies in this era he would almost certainly be excepted to arrive in a rice paddy hat
so get off your high horses for 1 brief minute and take a step back and see the big picture
this is a masterpiece and you are so microaggressive it blinds your ability to see progressive artistic interpretation by the modern day cinematic leonardo da vinci

Blunt was the shit in one particular scene. God i love her.
Cillian killed it.
I thought Matt Damon would be a distraction, but i ended up liking him in this.
Nice to see people like Remy Malik and Casey Affleck.
RDJ’s performance was just ok.

I learned a lot in this movie. I didn’t know the hydrogen bomb was created so soon after the atomic. I thought it was much later
