"In My Tree" has a gradual build. It starts with just drums and quiet bass no?

Even Flow and Animal both skip the BS and cut right to the chase

I appreciate when they do this. I'm a busy guy! I've got things to do!

"Gods Dice" and "Hitchhiker" -- those songs aren't even wasting time with instrumental intros, straight onto the words!

Interesting. What type of music does the radio station usually play? Or are you talking about Sirius?

Honestly I don’t usually listen to Weckage. I have WFS after Won’t Tell.
A bit top heavy but:
SoF
RR
Won’t Tell
WFS
Be Humble
Running
Something Special
Got to Give
Setting Sun
(Sometimes swap Running and GtG)
Time permitting:
Dark Matter
Wreckage
Upper Hand

I take the dogs for a walk each morning and listen to DM but I tend to skip the title track, sometimes Upper Hand, and Something Special.
I like them all but I get antsy to get to the really good stuff.

Fitting that on days when your dogs take extra long shits then you might have time for Upper Hand.

I strongly disagree, but, also, I laughed.

I don't really understand this song lyrically. What is he not telling? Who is he not telling? He's waiting on something from this mystery woman--is it that she wants him back? If he wants her to want him, is that the thing he's not telling? If so, why not just say what you want so you can get an answer and get out of purgatory?
It's probably also why I struggle with David Lynch.
