Maybe because he was a major figure in organized crime, and had been under investigation by the FBI for over a decade?

Your crime wouldn't be very well organized.

It worked for a while for Capone.

I would have liked to have seen the rise of Lucciano. They showed when he was AR's apprentice and then jumped ahead to when he was positioning to become boss of all bosses. I wouldn't mind a show that was just about that time in between.

for whatever reason, I never picked this show back up after Jimmy was shot. I really don't recommend ever turning on HBO near the end of an episode thinking that you're going to be watching credits and other HBO previews... Now I feel stupid for not keeping up with this show seeing everyone's reaction to the finale

one episode left

what a brilliant show, one of the greatest ever

this last season really destroyed me, the whole flashback thing was amazing

The last season felt rushed and scaled back.

To this day, still my favorite HBO show. The last season was great but I feel they could have easily had another full season in them (having not gone the flashback route in what came to be the final season). The acting was top notch and writing was brilliant throughout IMO.
Spoiler: show
Still not over Richard's death, but his exit was tastefully done

Rothstein dying between seasons with no payoff was a huge bummer.

Probably the best acting in any show. Deadwood, Sopranos and Breaking Bad are certainly up there. The acting in The Wire was top tier but the writing is its strong suit.
