A f#cking beast of drummer. But didnt really tour for the last 10 years. Lets just assume that the physical part (touring performing) was one of the biggest reasons Matt quit the band. And look at him! He looks incredibly fit. No the next drummer should be in shape. Matt Chamberlain has been touring the world for decades. All the stars align for him now.

they posted a link on facebook to a pearl jam cover band, so maybe the drummer of that band since he knows the songs already

I'm kind of wondering if we'd get more dynamic range out of future records with a new drummer. I feel like they owed something to Matt Cameron so they pulled him up so high in the mix they had to brick everything. A new drummer with less pull in the control room could very well open up some space in the mix and we could all breathe a sigh of relief.

I think Pearl Jam will want some female energy in the band. Who are the best and available female drummers? The girl from BRMC is fantastic but she's not going to jump ship (or is she??) So who else?

Stella Mozgawa is one of my favorite drummers, male or female. And I don't think Warpaint is up to very much these days.

Yes, he is. And he's phishing there. Will not happen. They probably knew about Matt's decision for months and probably already contacted some guys.

I just saw an ad in this month's Musician Weekly:

Hard rock band seeks drummer. Band has been recording and touring for over 30 years and needs an experienced player. Must be adept at spritz punk and singer songwriter/Coldplay type music as well. Singer is the main attraction, no Tommy Lee's wanted. Being woke is a plus.

Leads me to believe PJ has started the search.
