Doesn’t matter anyone’s reason for not drinking, but when I went alcohol-free for health reasons it was wild how ingrained having a drink at any event is. I found out that I enjoyed being at games way more without drinking. Tailgating was kind of a slog until my friends and I made food the focus as we got older

It’s not anything I ever opposed. Plenty of my friends did/do it. I just know that a) when I get drunk, I get drunk and I paid good money for attending the event and it would become secondary and b) drinking at an event is super expensive and back then, there wasn’t a super huge amount of entertainment money available.
