The shows I've heard (Pittsburg, most of Buffalo, some of Worcester 2) have been pretty underwhelming from a performance perspective so far.

Mike's fitness regime is really rubbing off on the Pearl Jam camp.

I am about 10 songs into buffalo now. I will say that the first three slower tracks sound fantastic, Ed really can't sing DTE early in tours now. He needs like 12 shows before he can get it down. Immortality sounds great. I arrived at work somewhere around the e-flow solo. So I will finish the rest later. Now to get the HD worchester rips on to the ipad!

I think the ones I'll go after for this tour are:
Baltimore (was there)
Charlottesville (good reviews, good set list)
San Diego (good set list)
Vancouver

The first show from the tour was pretty cool...Buffalo has great moments and not so good one....Worcester is a very good setlist with an ok one from the band. Not just Eddie.

Yeah. Boots from pearljam.com are always sloppy with names/tags. Livedownloads.com does them right.

After listening to the main set, Worcester 1 is just as bad.
I was really looking forward to hearing these shows but they've been seriously underwhelming so far. I hope things improve once the tour progresses.

Don't worry, Spenno. The audience recordings I've heard of shows from the last 2 weeks are pretty solid. Phoenix and San Diego are pretty good, Portland is near-great, as is Vancouver. I haven't heard any of the other shows but the further along in the tour they get the tighter they are (which you should expect). I sampled a bit of the Vancouver show and it's pretty great.

I'm sure you're right but I'm still invariably staggered at how under-rehearsed the band sound at the beginning of tours. They basically treat the first five or six shows like rehearsals.
The audiences at the rough early shows like Buffalo or Worcester paid as much to see the band as those who attended San Diego or Vancouver.

That does not bode well for NZ/Aust next year.

Oh no, I think the shows down here will be fine.
They're already warmed up now, the shows are only next month, and I imagine they'll probably be playing somewhat shorter and more hits-heavy sets down here anyway.
Honestly, I'd rather hear the new songs and tight versions of Better Man, Black, Even Flow, Do the Evolution et al than hesitant and muddled versions of deep catalogue cuts.

Yeah. Pick 30 songs and play 25 of them a night. Play them well. Done. (include NAIS though)

2006 is the only post-2000 tour I think that assessment doesn't apply to - for whatever reason, they seemed to come out of the gate relatively well prepared that time around.

They were kinda rusty at the beginning of 2000, too, and extremely rusty at the beginning of 2003.
