Actually in watching a video, he sounded pretty spent by the end of that one. Not the best vocal performance. I don't care if they're off. They're older. I just care if the spirit's there and the crowd is into it. Good set last night overall.

I actually thought there was tension between Eddie and stone during the Worcester shows, maybe shit is hitting the fan.

He's sick of playing that song. They should end some shows with Sweet Lew instead.

Sure, Ed's constant gushing over Mike and Matt every night, while basically ignoring the awesomeness of Jeff and Stone, has become really annoying... but Jeff doesn't need to get all pissy like a teenage drama queen.

CopperTom wrote:The Jeff thing was really weird. I just happened to be focussing him at the time. He went off stage on Mike's side and handed his bass to a tech and said something to him. I expected him to grab his YL bass. He then walked behind the kit towards Stone's side. I was expecting Smile or something. He then tore off his IEM. He was behind the curtain before the song even ended. Stone was off stage quickly too. Ed and Matt exited. Mike waved. No group bow. Very strange.
I hope he was ill or sad over the loss of Lou Reed. I hope it's something "human" and not band-chemistry related. It's a shame this is already a news item.

especially when we all realize Jeff and Stone are the best parts of this band these days. maybe instead of a sign campaign for them to play certain songs, we should do a sign campaign just saying that we want stone and jeff to write all the songs, let them know we love them

When has the band ever played a version of RITFW that lasted less than 3 minutes. The whole band must've been on the same page to just cut the song short like that.

Everyone was watching the dancing fan kick ass up there so they probably got jealous. Maybe that's what Jeff was pissed about, that Iowa shirt guy getting more love than him.
