This has been great to work on because Im listening to music on my lunch break instead of watching tv, that's been the best time for me to put it together. If all goes well ill have the tracklist done tomorrow and will start putting it into audacity

Some of my songs are much louder than others. Any way to make them all play at the same volume?

Nope. Maybe partner is not the right word. Your mixtape-maker will not be the same person as your mixtape-recipient (except in one very specific case where the randomizer I used turned out that way)

If you're using a program like audacity you can lower the level of each track. Either go to the relevant track within the program and lower the level or there should be an option in the menu.
What programme are you using?

Hmmm, ok. I was using Zune software (got a windows phone), but it was doing some weird things with one of the albums I have. So I switched over to Windows Media Player. I could download something else.

As recommended by Chud and Platy, I got a free dl of Audacity. It's easy to use and will do all that you need, then you can save it as a single file. Any questions you can PM me (or Chud or Platy). Good luck.
