The Master.
Joaquin Phoenix was great, what a truly amazing actor he is. The movie was ok, i think There will be blood was a masterpiece and this one fells short in comparison, but overall a good movie, really well shoot and with a good cast.

I've been increasingly hearing about this Australian movie Wake in Fright (1971) the last few months. Has anyone seen it? I feel like I'm obligated to. Maybe someday.

Re: What Movies are you watching?
I am going through the movies nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars this year.
I watched Lincoln yesterday and it was weird because I did enjoy and appreciate the movie but was also bored.
I watched Argo a while ago and really thought it was fantastic.
I watched Beasts of the Southern Wild last night and I hated it. It was so sad. The acting was very good and the little girl was amazing but the movie is just far too depressing.
Next up: Silver Linings Playbook, Django Unchained, and Zero Dark Thirty.
I cant see myself sitting through Life of Pi or Les Miserables.

Seen Die Hard 2: Die Harder yesterday. Great action flick...i didnt remember that Franco Nero was the bad guy! thats a extra point of coolness.

Re: What Movies are you watching?
Argo was pretty good. I felt like the climax was a little weak but it was OK overall.
Seems like kind of a weak year for Oscars. Haven't seen zero dark thirty yet though.

The Imposter. A pretty good doc about a young french con artist who poses as a missing American kid. He got away with it for several months before his story unravelled even after moving in with the kid's family in Texas.
