You'd assume Everything in it's Right Place but for sure you'd be hoping for No Surprises

Although regardless, I'd certainly go the India Rubber anyhow. We don't want no Kid, eh?

I listened to OK Computer. I found myself getting bored. The heavy parts are fucking awesome, but everything in between kinda bores me, and most of the album is the stuff in between the heavy stuff. I guess I just need more RAWK in my rock music.

I heard Paranoid Android shuffle on in the car the other day. Hadn't really listened to much Radiohead recently, but when it hits that hard part and you hear all those crazy raygun-laser guitar lines, its unreal.

A new quote from Jonny says they're regrouping at the end of summer to work out future plans.

After a cool drunken conversation with a friend about these guys and their show here a few years back i been listening to ok computer and watching a really good show from their 2008 tour in japan.
In rainbows remains as my second favorite from them.

Seeing these guys in a Roman arena in France in 2008 was one of the greatest nights in my life.

I remastered this today in between a bunch of grading. I remember seeing the setlist for this show and being jealous (I saw them three days before this), but it took me 11 years to actually track down the recording. My remaster isn't perfect, as it's a bit bright and there's at least one volume discrepancy that I couldn't get hammered out...but it's worth a download.

RADIOHEAD
2003-08-26
Red Rocks Amphitheater
Morrison, CO

Original Source Notes:
Schoeps MK4(DIN) > nBox > Sony PCM-M1 (16/48)
20th row center

Edit notes: Lots of EQ in Audacity. The resulting audio is a bit bright but has a lot more life than the source tape. "Exit Music" and "Nude" are still fairly quiet. I downsampled the recording to 44.1K so it's burnable for CDs.

Tracklist (124:14):
01. intro
02. There, There
03. 2+2=5
04. Lucky
05. Myxomatosis
06. Kid A
07. Backdrifts
08. Where I End and You Begin
09. Paranoid Android
10. My Iron Lung
11. Sail to the Moon
12. Subterranean Homesick Alien
13. Talk Show Host
14. Idioteque
15. Scatterbrain
16. The National Anthem
17. Exit Music (For A Film)
18. Sit Down Stand Up
19. encore break 1
20. We Suck Young Blood
21. A Punch-Up At A Wedding
22. Go To Sleep
23. Karma Police
24. encore break 2
25. No Surprises
26. Big Ideas (Nude)
27. Everything In Its Right Place

Show notes: Great setlist. Second of two performances of "Subterranean Homesick Alien" in 2003, and the last such performance until 2011. Rare pre-In Rainbows performance of "Nude".

Do they ever play "Creep" live anymore?

Radiohead are definitely something of a white whale band for me, they haven't played Adelaide since the OK Computer tour and I was out of town when they were here then. I would've flown interstate to see them when they toured here in 2012, I had friends who did, but it fell right after our daughter was born.

wikipedia wrote:After mid-1998, Radiohead did not play the song live at all until the final encore of a 2001 hometown concert at South Park, Oxford, when they played it in a seemingly impromptu decision after an equipment failure on the organ just after the start of "Motion Picture Soundtrack".[29] Thom Yorke commented that they would be playing a "slightly older song... I think." To date, the last major performance of the song was at Reading Festival 2009, where it opened their set.[30]

In April 2008, Prince covered "Creep" at Coachella. This version was captured on a video from a concert-goer's mobile phone, and uploaded to YouTube. However, it was quickly taken down at Prince's request. After finding out about the blocking, Thom Yorke was quoted as saying: "Well, tell him to unblock it. It's our song."[31]

I was lucky enough to see Radiohead on The Bends tour at a 1,000 person venue, and in 2006 when they toured before releasing In Rainbows (they played the Auditorium Theatre here in Chicago -- a small, amazing venue with perfect acoustics). At this point, nothing that Radiohead does can really top those two shows for me.
