There is your playlist. Perfectly curated.
Meh, the songs you left off from Lost in the Dream and A Deeper Understanding are better than the ones that you included from their older albums. I stand by my original recommendation.

I love objective opinions about music.

I thought the point was half WoD and half Wilco...

I am on board with KD. I find WoD to be very sound-scapey, and each album feels like its own mood and the songs bleed into each other (in a good way). Not only do I think it'd be hard to make a mix (because it would mess up that flow), I'm not sure I can even name my favorite songs outside of a few. I just like to put them on and let them spin. But I'll give start's mix a try and prepare to be surprised.

Why would you make a War on Drugs mix with tracks from Slave Ambient and not include "Best Night?"

Wilco sucks. Listen to Lost in the Dream and if you're not hooked by the fourth track it's probably not going to happen.

strat, i should've know better than to respond by suggesting something completely innocuous and fun with the expectation that both the idea and execution wouldn't be immediately put under a microscope and criticized. sheesh.

p.s. i couldn't open your mix.

No way. I'm a known aficionado of "dad rock." Wilco still sucks though

Sorry, that all came across more annoying than intended. I just think both albums I recommended are really good and worthy of a listen, and ultimately probably the same time commitment as two mixes that will likely have a fair amount of overlap.

Btw this would be my response to Strat, though I think ultimately KD is right--just listen to Lost In The Dream.

Listened to Lost in the Dream tonight. The two songs that sound like Tom Petty were my favorites.

I will listen to Strat and Mickey's mixes soon.
